This Data Retention Policy explains how FaceMirror handles the storage and lifecycle of data processed through the service.
Images uploaded to FaceMirror are processed temporarily for indexing and similarity search. Uploaded images are intended to be deleted after indexing or processing is complete unless a separate hosted-storage arrangement is explicitly agreed in writing.
FaceMirror stores vector embeddings and lightweight metadata needed to operate similarity search. Embeddings are mathematical vectors, not image files, and are not designed to reconstruct the original face photo.
Clients remain responsible for the images, profile records, URLs, and metadata they provide to FaceMirror. FaceMirror is not intended to serve as permanent storage for client photo libraries.
FaceMirror may temporarily retain processing data, upload logs, or system diagnostics for operational stability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting purposes. Temporary processing data is periodically cleared as part of normal system maintenance.
Uploaded images used during indexing are intended to be deleted automatically after processing. Clients may also request deletion of retained embeddings, metadata, or account-related data, subject to operational and legal requirements.
FaceMirror implements reasonable safeguards to protect stored data, but cannot guarantee absolute security.
This policy may be updated periodically. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
